A deer eats food left outside the main camp buliding during the winter of 1937. According to a note on the back, residents Captain and Mrs. Eugene Davis, who lived in the buliding, would feed the deer over the winter until National Audubon Society stopped them in 1939.

Audubon Camp In Maine: Assorted Photographs Album, 1938-1948

This photograph album features black and white photographs of life at the Hog Island camp between 1938 and 1948. The photograph album was the gift of Dorothy Johnson, a camper in 1938, and the majority of pictures appear to have been taken by her during that year. There are also some pictures from the 1940s, some of them taken by Virginia Cadbury.
