This photograph of a bay in South Florida shows the Key where Guy Bradley who was hired by the American Ornithologists' Union as one of the first game wardens in the United States. In 1905, Bradley was killed in the line of duty by a group of men hunting egrets who Bradley confronted in an attempt to enfore a ban on hunting shorebirds. His death became a rallying cry for the American conservation movement.
